Selecting exterior colors for your home can be a tough job. We have come up with some suggestions to help make the job easier.

• Gather samples of all existing permanent colors (paint, brick, siding, etc...) showing on your home's exterior.
• Consider the neighborhood (landscape and/or houses).
• Select roof colors in the same family.
• Select high-contrast colors to produce striking effects.
• Use color to balance the proportion and design of your house.
• To select the best color(s) for your home, view five or six shingles in natural daylight. Remember, shingle colors on a roof may depend on weather conditions and time of day.
